Central West Gippsland PCP has over 20 years experience in partnerships and connecting health and human services with each other, and the community. This allowed the Central West Gippsland PCP to readily mobilise our members and the community to respond to challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Responding to local food secruity needs during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Central West PCP has a strong history of supporting food security work across Baw Baw and Latrobe. This strong foundation and understanding of food security at a local level has meant that we were able to readily mobilise, together with our members and community groups, in response to the
Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Longwarry Intensive Food Security Project

CWGPCP has been working with the Longwarry community to implement the Longwarry Intensive Food Security Project since 2014. Over the past 4 years, the project has brought together community, agencies and local government to coordinate action on food security within the Longwarry community. The project has achieved a wide range of positive outcomes for the community and offers many lessons which can inform future food security projects in both Baw Baw and beyond.
