IHP Projects

The CWGPCP work with a number of organisations from a wide range of sectors and communities in our catchment on a mix of health promotion interventions and capacity building strategies to address priority health and wellbeing issues.

Information about the Health Promotion projects the PCP works on can be seen below. For more information about the PCPs role in health promotion please click here.

Food Security Coalition in Baw Baw

Food insecurity has been prioritised in the Central West Gippsland region, which led to the development of a Food Security Recommendation Report in 2012 to provide guidance on the types of interventions to implement in CWG. The project was support by the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation in 2013 and 2014. For more information please click here.

PA Mapping Report – Central West Gippsland 2011

In 2011, CWGPCP’s Active Choices project worker completed a physical activity (PA) mapping project across Baw Baw and Latrobe. The project aimed to gather a range of information about current PA options in the Central West Gippsland catchment, in particular the extent to which PA providers currently take steps to encourage participation from minority groups.  A survey was developed with contribution from GippSport’s Access for All Abilities Co-ordinator and the Healthy and Active Communities Network.
